Sautéed Shishito Peppers
Sautéed shishito peppers is a great option for a light and healthy snack. Usually mild in flavor, this appetizer is a fun option for group gatherings.
Ingredients
- Dash of olive oil
- ½ lb shishito peppers
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- ½ tsp freshly ground black pepper
- ½ lime (optional)
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large sauté over medium-high heat.
- When the oil is hot, add the shishito peppers (whole) in one layer.
- Sprinkle kosher salt and black pepper over peppers.
- Sauté for an additional 4 to 6 minutes until peppers are blistered and browned, making sure to toss the peppers frequently.
- Take pan off the heat and squeeze lime juice over the peppers. Sprinkle additional salt if desired.
- Transfer peppers to a serving dish and serve hot.
